Paper Prints Policy

This policy outlines the guidelines for the printing of scholarly papers published in the Multidisciplinary Journal of Healthcare (MJH). The goal is to ensure consistency, accessibility, and sustainability in the production and distribution of printed copies.

Scope

This policy applies to all scholarly papers published in MJH, including research articles, reviews, case reports, and commentaries. It does not cover other types of content, such as editorials, letters to the editor, or announcements.

Policy Statements

  1. Print-on-Demand Model: MJH will primarily adopt a print-on-demand model for scholarly paper reprints. This means that printed copies will be produced only upon specific request and in the desired quantity.
  2. Request Procedure: Authors, institutions, or individuals interested in obtaining printed copies of their published papers must submit a formal request to the MJH editorial office. The request should include the following information:
    • Author's name
    • Paper title
    • Number of copies desired
    • Shipping address
  3. Cost: MJH will charge a nominal fee to cover the costs associated with printing and shipping. The fee will be communicated to the requester at the time of the request.
  4. Printing Specifications:
    • Paper quality: High-quality, archival-grade paper will be used.
    • Printing method: Laser printing will be used to ensure clarity and durability.
    • Binding: Stapling or saddle stitching will be used for shorter papers, while hardcover binding will be considered for longer works or special editions.
  5. Turnaround Time: MJH aims to fulfill print requests within 2-3 weeks of receipt. However, turnaround times may vary depending on the complexity of the request and the availability of materials.
  6. Copyright and Permissions: Authors retain copyright of their work, but MJH reserves the right to reproduce and distribute printed copies for the purpose of fulfilling requests. If the paper is subject to copyright restrictions or requires permissions from third parties, the author is responsible for obtaining the necessary clearances.
  7. Environmental Considerations: MJH is committed to minimizing its environmental impact. We will explore options for sustainable printing practices, such as using recycled paper and reducing waste.

Exceptions and Special Cases

  • Open Access Papers: For papers published under an open access model, MJH may offer a limited number of complimentary printed copies to the corresponding author.
  • Institutional Subscriptions: Institutions that subscribe to MJH may have access to certain print benefits, such as discounted reprint fees or bulk ordering options.
  • Special Editions or Collections: For special editions or collections of papers, MJH may produce a limited number of bound volumes.
