  • Journal: The journal acquires the right to first publication, meaning they have the exclusive right to publish the article for the first time. This includes the right to reproduce, distribute, and display the article in print and electronic formats.

Author's Rights

  • Non-exclusive License: Authors grant the journal a non-exclusive license to publish their work. This means they can still publish the article elsewhere, provided they acknowledge the journal's prior publication.
  • Moral Rights: Authors retain their moral rights, including the right to be identified as the author and the right to object to distortions of their work.

Journal's Rights

  • Reproduction and Distribution: The journal has the right to reproduce and distribute the article in print and electronic formats, including online databases and archives.

  • Archiving: The journal may archive the article in long-term repositories to ensure its preservation.

Open Access Options

  • Gold Open Access: Authors can choose to pay an article processing charge (APC) to make their article freely available to all readers. This option allows for immediate and unrestricted access to the article.
  • Green Open Access: Authors may deposit a copy of their article in a repository, such as their institutional repository, after a specified embargo period. This option provides delayed open access.

Permissions

  • Third-Party Materials: If the article includes third-party materials (e.g., figures, tables, data), authors must obtain necessary permissions from the copyright holders before submitting the article.
  • Reuse of Published Material: If authors want to reuse portions of their published article in future works, they may need to obtain permission from the journal, especially if the reuse involves substantial portions or alterations.
