Withdrawal Policy

This policy outlines the procedures for authors to withdraw their submitted manuscripts from consideration for publication in the Multidisciplinary Journal of Emerging Needs of Curriculum. The policy aims to ensure fairness, transparency, and integrity in the publication process.

Grounds for Withdrawal:

Authors may request to withdraw their manuscripts under the following circumstances:

  1. Ethical Reasons: If the author discovers significant ethical issues or misconduct related to the research, data, or manuscript preparation.
  2. Author's Decision: If the author decides to pursue alternative publication venues or revise the manuscript substantially.
  3. Circumstances Beyond the Author's Control: In cases of unforeseen circumstances that prevent the author from continuing with the submission process.

Withdrawal Procedure:

  1. Notification: Authors who wish to withdraw their manuscripts must submit a written notification to the journal's editorial office. The notification should clearly state the reason for withdrawal and provide any relevant supporting documentation.
  2. Timeline: Withdrawal requests must be submitted before the manuscript is accepted for publication. Once a manuscript is accepted, withdrawal is generally not permitted, except in cases of compelling ethical reasons.
  3. Editorial Decision: The editorial team will review the withdrawal request and make a decision. In cases where the withdrawal is due to ethical concerns, the editorial team may conduct further investigation.
  4. Communication: The editorial team will notify the author of their decision and provide any necessary instructions or guidance.

Consequences of Withdrawal:

  1. Future Submissions: Withdrawal of a manuscript does not preclude the author from submitting future manuscripts to the journal. However, repeated withdrawals without valid reasons may affect future submissions.
  2. Review Process: If a manuscript is withdrawn after undergoing peer review, the reviewers' comments will not be returned to the author.
  3. Copyright: If the manuscript has been assigned copyright to the journal, the author must provide written consent to the withdrawal.

Review of Withdrawal Requests:

The editorial team will review all withdrawal requests carefully and make decisions based on the specific circumstances of each case. The team will consider the reasons provided by the author, the stage of the review process, and any potential ethical implications.

Exceptions:

In exceptional cases, the editorial team may grant a withdrawal request even after the manuscript has been accepted for publication. Such exceptions will be considered only in cases of compelling ethical reasons or unforeseen circumstances beyond the author's control.

Amendments:

This policy may be amended from time to time to reflect changes in the journal's practices or to address new challenges. Any amendments will be communicated to authors and posted on the journal's website.
