Peer Review Policy

The primary objective of this peer review policy is to ensure the highest standards of academic quality, originality, and relevance in the published articles of the Multidisciplinary Journal of Emerging Needs of Curriculum. The policy outlines the procedures and criteria for evaluating submitted manuscripts, aiming to provide a fair, transparent, and timely review process.

Scope

This policy applies to all original research articles, review articles, and other scholarly contributions submitted to the journal.

Peer Review Process

  1. Initial Screening: All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial screening by the editorial team to assess their suitability for the journal's scope and adherence to the submission guidelines.
  2. Assignment to Reviewers: Manuscripts deemed appropriate for peer review are assigned to at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field. Reviewers are selected based on their qualifications, experience, and availability.
  3. Review Process: Reviewers are asked to evaluate the manuscript's originality, significance, methodology, clarity of presentation, and overall contribution to the field. They are expected to provide constructive feedback and recommendations for improvement.
  4. Review Decision: Based on the reviewers' assessments and the editorial team's evaluation, one of the following decisions will be made:
    • Accept: The manuscript is accepted for publication in its current form.
    • Accept with Revisions: The manuscript is accepted subject to minor or major revisions. The author(s) will be given a specified timeframe to address the reviewers' comments.
    • Revise and Resubmit: The manuscript is returned to the author(s) for substantial revision. If the revised manuscript meets the journal's standards, it may be considered for re-review.
    • Reject: The manuscript is deemed unsuitable for publication in the journal.

Reviewer Confidentiality

The identity of reviewers will be kept confidential unless they choose to disclose it. Reviewers are expected to maintain the confidentiality of the manuscripts they review.

Timeline

The editorial team will strive to complete the review process within a reasonable timeframe. However, the exact duration may vary depending on the complexity of the manuscript and the availability of reviewers.

Appeals

Authors who disagree with a rejection decision may submit a formal appeal to the editor-in-chief. The appeal will be reviewed by a separate panel of reviewers, and the decision of this panel will be final.

Ethical Considerations

  • Plagiarism: All submitted manuscripts will be checked for plagiarism using appropriate software. Any instances of plagiarism will be dealt with according to the journal's ethical guidelines.
  • Author Contributions: Authors are expected to clearly indicate their contributions to the research and authorship of the manuscript.
  • Conflict of Interest: Any potential conflicts of interest must be declared by both authors and reviewers.

Additional Guidelines

  • The journal reserves the right to make editorial changes to manuscripts to improve clarity, consistency, and adherence to the journal's style.
  • The journal may require authors to provide additional information or data to support their claims.

This peer review policy is intended to ensure the highest standards of academic quality and integrity in the Multidisciplinary Journal of Emerging Needs of Curriculum. The editorial team is committed to maintaining a fair, transparent, and timely review process.
