Licensing Policy

1. Copyright and Ownership

  • Copyright: All original content published in the Research Corridor Journal of Engineering Science (RCJES) is protected by copyright laws. The copyright holder is the author(s) of the work, unless otherwise stated.
  • Ownership: The author(s) retain ownership of the intellectual property rights in their work. However, by submitting their work to RCJES, the author(s) grant RCJES a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to publish, reproduce, distribute, and display the work in any medium.

2. Author Rights

  • Re-use of Content: Authors may re-use their own work, including but not limited to:
    • Posting it on their personal or institutional websites
    • Incorporating it into other publications or presentations
    • Using it for teaching purposes
  • Attribution: When re-using their work, authors must acknowledge RCJES as the original publisher and provide a link to the published version.

3. Permissions

  • Third-Party Content: If an author's work includes third-party content (e.g., figures, tables, data), they must obtain the necessary permissions from the copyright holders before submitting the work to RCJES.
  • Permissions Requests: Requests for permissions to reproduce or adapt content from RCJES should be directed to the journal's editorial office.

4. Open Access

  • CC BY License: RCJES adopts a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license for all published articles. This license allows others to distribute, remix, adapt, build upon, and use the work, even commercially, as long as they give appropriate credit to the original author(s) and the source.
  • Benefits of Open Access: Open access ensures wider dissemination of research, increases impact, and promotes collaboration.

5. Plagiarism and Ethical Conduct

  • Plagiarism: RCJES strictly prohibits plagiarism. Authors must ensure that their work is original and does not infringe upon the intellectual property of others.
  • Ethical Conduct: Authors are expected to adhere to the highest ethical standards in their research and writing. This includes:
    • Disclosing any conflicts of interest
    • Providing accurate citations and references
    • Following proper research methods
    • Obtaining necessary ethical approvals for human or animal research

6. Amendments

  • Changes: RCJES reserves the right to amend this licensing policy at any time. Any changes will be posted on the journal's website.
