Waiver Eligibility

The Mayo Journal of Communication World is committed to supporting researchers from diverse backgrounds and promoting inclusive academic participation. To encourage submissions from authors who may face financial constraints, the journal offers a waiver policy for article processing charges (APC) on a case-by-case basis. Waivers or discounts may be granted to authors from low-income or lower-middle-income countries, as classified by recognized international standards, or to researchers who can provide evidence of financial hardship. Requests for a waiver must be made at the time of article submission, along with a formal justification and any supporting documents. The decision to grant a waiver rests solely with the editorial board and is based on the merit of the request, the quality of the research, and the availability of funds. The journal reserves the right to approve or decline waiver requests without affecting the editorial decision regarding the acceptance or rejection of the manuscript.
