Developing nations grapple with burgeoning waste challenges, often exacerbated by inadequate infrastructure and limited resources. This research delves into the potential of "waste-to-wealth" initiatives to transform these challenges into opportunities. By adopting circular economy principles, these nations can unlock economic growth, environmental sustainability, and social benefits. The study explores the barriers and enablers to scaling up circular economy practices, including policy frameworks, technological advancements, financing mechanisms, and capacity building. Case studies from various developing countries illustrate the diverse strategies employed to divert waste from landfills and create value-added products. The research concludes by outlining a roadmap for policymakers, businesses, and communities to collaboratively accelerate the transition to a circular economy, thereby fostering sustainable and resilient development.
