Abstract

The integration of Quranic teachings with modern scientific innovations presents a promising pathway toward planetary sustainability. The Quran, with its profound spiritual guidance, emphasizes the importance of maintaining balance (mizan) in nature, which is a key concept that can harmonize with contemporary scientific approaches to environmental conservation. Islamic teachings advocate for the responsible stewardship of the Earth (khalifah), urging humanity to protect natural resources and promote ecological harmony. Scientific innovations, especially in the fields of environmental science, renewable energy, and sustainable agriculture, have increasingly become crucial in addressing global environmental crises such as climate change, resource depletion, and biodiversity loss. By aligning the ethical principles of the Quran with these scientific innovations, we can create a framework for sustainable development that respects both the natural world and the needs of future generations. This synergy has the potential to foster an environmentally conscious society, promoting sustainability while respecting the moral and spiritual dimensions of human existence.
